DMCA notice of copyright infringement

At CamsAtlas, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement reported to our designated copyright agent.

This page explains how to submit a notice of alleged infringement. Once we receive a valid DMCA notice, we take the action we consider appropriate, including removing the reported content from the site.

Requirements for DMCA notices

To be effective, your notice must include:

• A physical or electronic signature of someone authorized to act for the owner of the right that is allegedly infringed.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed. If several works at one site are covered by a single notice, a representative list.
• Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example, the exact URL).
• Enough information for us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.

Section 512(f) liability

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. If you are not sure whether the material you are reporting is infringing, consider contacting an attorney before filing a notice.
